MARRAKECH - VILLAGE IN THE VALLEY OF AIT BOUGMEZ (1800 M).
Departure from Marrakech by minibus towards denmate and Aït Bouli. We pass a pass at 2700 m before descending into the Aït Boulli valley and arriving at our hostel. Short walk to the marabout Sidi moussa
DAY 03: 5 to 6 hours of walking more elevation: 300 less elevation: 150 accommodation: Bivouac.
VALLEY OF AITI BOUGMEZ: - RBAT N’OUFELLA (1950 M)
We start our trek by the small paths in the cultivated fields of the valley by following the Bougmez wadi. From village to village, we wander quietly in the shade of the walnut trees and apple trees that make up the richness of the valley. We will certainly be invited to take one or even more teas during the day, the locals are so welcoming in this region. We pass to Ibakallioune to observe the traces of dinosaurs before installing our bivouac at Rbat N'Oufella.
DAY 04: 6 hour hike more elevation: 800 elevation less: 22 accommodation: Bivouac.
RBAT N’OUFELLA - LAC IZOURAR (2350 M)
We continue our way in a pastoral universe crossing here and there shepherds and their herds of goats and sheep. We pass a pass and descend into the other bank of the Aït Bougmez valley, discovering other villages, before arriving at the temporary lake of Izourar which is populated in summer by the nomads of the region.
DAY 05: 6 hours of walking more elevation: 690 less elevation: 360 accommodation: Bivouac.
- LAKE IZOURAR - TIZI N’TIGHBOULA (3030 M)
We discover in this day the life of the nomads in the high pastures. Their large herds are made up of sheep, goats and sometimes even dromedaries who participated in the transhumance. We set up our highest bivouac on our trek in Tizi N'Tghboula.
DAY 06: 6 hours of walking more elevation: 260 less elevation: 1280 accommodation: Bivouac
TIZI N’TGHBOULA - CIRCUS OF TAGHIA (1890 M).
the landscape changes completely. We pass by a dizzying but unique path before reaching the Taghia circus. We cross the village with the same name and we bivouac at Imi N’Aqqa N’Tazart. The circus is magnificent and to get there we follow a path that winds through the magnificent Taghia gorges, limestone cliffs a hundred meters high.
DAY 07: 2 hours walking transport: Minibus accommodation: Hotel.
ZAOUIATE AHANÇAL - RETURN TO MARRAKECH.
A short walk in the Ahançal valley leads us to the village of Zaouiate Ahançal, we find our vehicles to take a beautiful road, that of Aqqa N’Ilissi. We leave the Ahançal valley to reach Azilal and then return to Marrakech in the middle of the afternoon and check in at the hotel.
